@ swaroop you should understand the concept of AS-14 and the basics of amalgamation and note the mistakes that you are doing and try to rectify it. it is my personal experience and I am just sharing it with you

Thanks for your feedback frns ... will surely write on cost fm as well ...

And sorry for late reply as I was under weather.  here is something that I wanna say about auditing :_

1. Don't change the book. Just revise it again n again

to get the grasp of the content. As if you gonna change the book you can't have the real crust

2. think about any q .. Make broad lines

3. now the answer part .. Suppose You say the organisation is committing mistakes in its procedures n implementation

Instead of this  write it as

Internal control of the organisation is really weak with many loopholes in the procedure such as :-

followed by your other points/facts

its my example

I hope u will get it ... angel

@ Kumar ..

Don't worry about balance sheet matching as in my entire exams my balance sheet matched just 2 times. In IPCC I was happy that in my partnership q , my balance sheet matched . Then my frn said my balance sheet also got matched n she had different answer. Her 3 balance sheet got matched  but she got 49 marks.  So obviously matching balance sheet doesn't guarantee you anything. You can miss some entries n ur b/s still can match.

1. DOnt try to match the balance. I don't find such time for that. If it happens, its good .... otherwise leave it.

2. You'll get marks for every single entry  ....even for working notes too.  So don't think working notes are irrelevant.

@ Swaroop ..

Its bit technical chap.  Even I had to take help from my brother.  So  try to do it in steps.

1. Make simple merged balance sheet as it is.

2. Now go for the intrinsic value part or purchase consideration.

3. Then go for the affected things due to such valuation say reserves etc.

4. Try to catch your repetitive mistake. If you can't correct it... then try to avoid investing time on that question in exam hall.

And if possible, take someone's help in this after noticing your mistakes.

@ Abhishel

Accounts :- P.C.Tulsian ... ( its too long so don't waste your patience but its excellent )

Law :- Munish bhandari  ... (can refer bharat law ...as I liked the company part in it ..) but still munish bhandari is safe option.

Costing n FM :- Rajesh makkar .. ( short n sweet ) for extra practice you can go for PM n RTP

Tax :- None other than Vinod Singhania
