Dear milind,

Ans of our question can never be a short or one line answer.

For service tax there a whole big chapter 5 in finance Act 1994 and for the due date and payments there are rules under service tax rules.

Finalisation of accounts means closing of books of accounts for a particular year and entry considered there under are like, provision of certain expenses which are incurred for the year but i invoice has not been received, provision for the tax liabilities like Income tax, Deffered tax etc.,

To know abt VAT you have to read VAT act and for payment and due date you can read Rules.

To levibility of excise you need to read Excise ACt 1944 and rules given there under.

Cenvat Credit is available on the invoice received with service tax or Excise but subject to Cenvat Credit Rules 2002

Depreciation is available on assets used for business for the wear and tear and rates for depreciation are provided in income tax Act 1961 and companies act 1956.
