Housewife can be covered as a dependant along with her spouse.

Of course, anyone can be covered under personal accident policy. I have insured by whole family including my wife with Birla accidental death insurance which provide coverage in case of accidental death, loss of limbs, sight, ensuring that you can secure your family’s financial health in case of sudden loss.

As per my research a housewife is eligible for 50% of sum insured which is opted by the proposer. Accidents can take place anywhere even at home so housewife is also covered in accident insurance.
