One of my friend applied for Service tax registration in ST-1. Yet, he has not received ST-2. Now the problem is, how to know whether he has registered or not and if he is registered how to know his ST code.
Please reply as early as possible.

Log on to www.aces.gov.in and view ST-1acknowledgement and ST-2 by providing the password and username that he had created while applying. You will get to know the ST registeration number.
you need to submit the ST-1 and ST-2 as generated from aces to the Suptd. of CE within 15 days of online application.....if not so submitted then the online application will lost its validity....
In addition to ST-1 and ST-2, attach documents like Address Proof, Copy of Pan Card, document of constitution of the firm/company...all self attested.
