My grandfather was stock broker in one of the stock exchange. He has given some share as security deposit in exchange(as required by exchange for membership). After some time he stop working as share broker but due to some reason he has not given his membership & as time pass he forget about it. Some time ago exchange contact us & tell us about security deposit. My grandfather was pass away in year 2000 & he has 1 son & 3 daughter from which 1 son & 1 daughter pass away. Now my question is that does my grandfather daughter has equal share in this deposit or only sons has equal share in it.

Madam, I understand that now only 2 of your Grand father's daughters are alive and assume that your grand ma is no more.I further assume that his deceased son and daughter were unmarried ,then only the daughters those who are alive will inherit the shares provided you are all Hindus. No, both the deceased son & daughter was married & have 1 son & 1 daughter each. If it consider as ancestral property (but this money was of business) then what about supreme court judgment that given in November 2015 in one case.
