Hi,

i want to know about a complete chartered accountant of a Company. i mean if i want to work in a company as a Sr. chartered accountant ( the company is not so big establishment) who covers all the departments of a company then what are the main subjects or fields or departments where i'll work and how to prepare myself as a complete C.A.? what are the primery and secondary fields like audit /income tax /accounts / service / Vat / tax advisor/ sales tax/ Direct tax/ Indirect taxs and many more. Please give numbers to these fiels in the form that which are more imp. and which are less?

As far as knowledge is concerned there is no limit for a CA because expectation of other people regarding that is very high.

But most essential part is you should have well knowledge of accounting and accounting standars, company low matters e.g AGM, ROC requirement etc, in Direct tax you should have knowledge of TDS, and assement part and taxation of PGBP.

As far as Indirect Tax is concerned, its depend in which typ company you are going employ yourself, If it is manufacturing company then Knowledge of Excise and service tax would be essential.
