Dear Eswarlal,

My answer is very practical..

See, it suggests from your question that you are already employed in a Government organisation and you are 30 years old.

It is also a known fact that CA will take you 5 years to complete (if everything is on first attempt basis).

So sit and think for even 1000 times before quitting your job for articleship. Because even after qualifying, if you opt for practice, it will take time to settledown financially and if you opt for service, there will be competition from young qualifieds.

But the positive point is that if you qualify in you Actuarials, then you will be the Master., since the actuaries in india are only a handful.

So please decide on the above based factors - Risk and opportunity.
