80GG deduction overlooked in ITR for AY 2017-18

Sir, in the return for the Ay 2017-18,
I failed to claim the deduction under section 80gg for rent paid by my client as the time limit to revise the return has already expired can you tell me how to claim it return for the a y 17-18
can I go for rectification or any other option please guide
RETURN is under processing. No refund released till date

Have you tried filing revised return u/s. 139(5), for AY 2017-18?

Under the existing provisions of section 139(5) of the Income-tax Act, 1961 ('Act'), Revised Return can only be filed if any person, who has filed a return under section 139(1) of the Act or in response to notice u/s 142(1), discovers any omission or any wrong statement therein.
