80D deduction
i hv paid a health insurance premium of 25000 for me and 25000 for my parents..(senior citizens).and medical expenses amounted to 5000. my father has paid another health insurance premium(with a different insurer) of 30000 for him.Can we both claim deductions.and wat is the maximum amount of deduction for me & my father??

Sandeep you can claim Rs. 25000 for your family
for your parants maximum Rs 30000 medical expenses you cannot claim parellally
so maximum deduction you can avail is Rs 55000
so maximum deduction you can avail is Rs 55000

yes your father also can claim deduction but only Rs 30000
