my deduction u/s 80C is exceeding 1lakh can my wife claim the balance. (ex: my investment in shares/mutual funds/LIC) are Rs.150000/- can my wife claim balance Rs.50000 pls suggest u/s.80C

If that balance investments worth Rs.50000 are in the name of your wife, then she can claim.

No, you have to submit your spouse's PAN to open Bank A/c on her name. The submission of PAN to Bank A/c is for various purposes like monitoring Bank transactions of an Individual, deducting TDS etc..
