can a person claim dependant disabilityunder section 80dd for both his wife and son as both are disabled with 80% disability. what is the maximum amount he can claim. pl clarify the same.

As per Sec. 80DD
1). Expenditure for medical treatment (file return with copy of certificate issued by the medical authority)
2.) Maintenance
Deduction Flat Rs. 1,25,000 (with 80% or more disability)
No deduction allowed in 80U
Both allowed
Rs.1,25,000×2=Rs. 2,50,000
