can we claim deduction under 80c for deposit in 5yr rd of post office

Yes you can but as per the rules and regulations for it as per post office

You can not claim deduction under section 80C

Investment in RD is not covered under section 80C

5 yr Rd of post offices with terms and condition is tax exemption as per the law

Even Sukanya samridhi is rd for girls of post office is eligible for Deduction under sec 80 c as per law
