We have pleasure to inform you that the 52nd National Cost Convention of The Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India is being organized by Southern India Regional Council from 6th January,2011 to 8th January,2011 in the most happening city of Chennai the State Capital of Tamilnadu. The Students and Practioners Convention are also being organized on the 5th January 2011.

The Theme of the convention is "NEW ENTERPRISE CHALLENGES- SUSTAINABILITY AND VALUE CREATION".

The greatest challenges that are faced by business enterprises today, are alignment to global competition, business sustainability and creating value to ensure future growth. At the same time their financial reporting has to comply not only with the relevant disclosure regime but also provide proactive information on the challenges that are faced by the enterprise. With the wholesale transformation happening in taxation regimes, the cycle becomes complete. The enterprises expect the professionals to translate the complex issues into the normal business language and also help them to integrate them into the systems that are put in place. The cost and management accounting professionals who also belong to the genre of the custodians of finance and performance measurement working inside the organizations, become a key enabler for this transformation.
