I have three business. 1. Writing books of accounts. Total receipts from same 3Lacs. 2. share trading in shares. turnover being 10Lacs & loss being 15000. 3. speculation business, turnover being 3 lacs & profit being 20000 Now can I club the total reciepts/ turnover of all three business & offer income U/s 44AD on total turnover of Rs. 16lacs @ 8%???

speculation business cannot be clubbed under 44ad.... trading in shares has resulted in loss, so i wont suggest you to show this under 44ad. rather you can claim such as loss to be set off from other income and carry forward unabsorbed losses. accounting business can be shown under 44ad.

So u mean to indicate provision of 44AD are not applicable to speculative business?? Can u refer to any provision restricting clubbing of speculation income with trading business? Also, if I rather consider to club & offer both trading business & accounting business( total turnover of both being 13lacs) @ 8% resulting in net income of 1,04,000/- & offer speculation income of 20,000/- separately. Even in that case, gross income remains within basic exemption which should ideally suffice all conditions without having to opt for audit.

though provisions of act do not specifically exclude speculation business from 44ad, but according to me since these income are covered by a separate section so it should not be included in 44ad...... your second option seems correct to me and audit would also not be applicable to you.
