For Ay 17-18 assessee has got his books of account audited ( he opted out of sec 44AD), now for AY 18-19, he want to opt for 44AD, can he do so

Yes... If his business (also assessee) is eligible under sec 44AD.

Yes, since you got your books audited the last time , opting for the same shouldn't be a problem for this financial year as well. You can very much go ahead and opt for the same.
