As I understand English is very much useful in every area but on the other hand there are many parents they can't afford English medium school that’s why they take their child’s admission in vernacular medium. Every student has a dream to become Doctor, Lawyer, Engineer. They cant speak fluent English does not mean they are not brilliant there is no direct connect of English with anyone’s intelligence. If Companies are looking only for English fluency so they have to provide some classes to such student who are brilliant but they can’t speak proper English .

Dear Parihar,
Did you know that the two largest English-speaking countries in the world are India (350 million out of 1 billion) and the United States (300 million) ?
I agree that most of them may not be proficient in speaking English, but that is not a great matter of concern as we are far better than the world.
Did you know that only 13% of European Union (EU) citizens speak English as their native language. Another 38% of EU citizens state that they have sufficient skills in English to have a conversation (that is working knowledge ! ). This means that rest 49% do not even know to speak this language !!! They can just speak their regional language like Spanish, Latin, Greek etc.
Anyway, does it mean that those who do not know to speak English are less intelligent ? No ! Even a moron can speak English !
Did you know that :
"The perfect orderliness of the Sanskrit language creates orderliness and balance in the brain physiology, expands the memory, and purifies the physiology."-Maharshi Mahesh Yogi
Despite of immense value of this rich ancient Indian language, is any so called 'modern' & 'new age' Indian concerned about learning Sanskrit ?

The problem lies in our weak eduaction system .When we have to take care of this problem we were just engaged in other things. |
Not speaking English is not a matter of concern or anything. Why are we so desperate to speak in english?? Blaming everything on the education system is not correct, only english does not decide our future. Chinese and russians dont speak english, but they are developed more than us. Rather than concentrating on technical skills, this article focusses on english skills. Real Engineers work with people which sometimes include uneducated labourers. How does it in any way affect the working of an Engineer if he cant communicate with them in english??? It is just an article by some grammar nazi, who decides the education level of a person on his english skills.

may be 43 % Engineers or 90 % doctors ...or ( ... ) % CA can't speak English ....
But still if idea is being conceived ....then who is looking for good/great English speaking or writing skills...
Even how much we speak our regional language like Hindi, Urdu, Gujrati , Marathi and so on ... Properly.
Hum sorry tak hindi me nahi bolte ....Jabki hum Hindi me baat karte hai ...
Likewise Americans also don't use proper Englsh ...their language is also affected by their Slang ...
so what's d big deal ?
