I just now read that India is going to have four working days per week only and what would that be like?

I'm of the opinion that three days rest means

1. Consumer spending will increase and thereby increasing GDP.

2. DEPRECIATION will reduce which means more profits to go for tax cuts.

3. Health might deteriorate and to prevent that, it would be nice if pick up and drop facility is made available.

Hey Yasaswi! That’s a hot topic for sure. A 4-day workweek could shake things up big time in India. Your points are spot on, especially about consumer spending and GDP boost — more free time often means people spend more on leisure, travel, dining out, etc., which can really stimulate the economy.

About depreciation, I guess you’re talking in terms of machinery/equipment usage? Less time working could mean less wear and tear, so companies might save on maintenance and replacement costs.

On health, yeah, longer weekends sound awesome, but if people become too sedentary or stressed during those days, it could backfire. So good transport options and wellness programs would definitely help.

Personally, I think a 4-day workweek might boost productivity if managed well—people get more rest and come back energized. But it depends on the industry and how companies adapt.
