Hey guys,

Just wanted to bring it to all your notice !!!!

There is a word goin around and through my very own findings i have come to kno tht the institute is hell bent on making the 3 month residential programme compulsory which would replace the existing GMCS cousre

The implementation is likely to take place as early as May 2010.

this decision is disturbing to me, as students would now have to pay a whooping Rs. 45,000/- for 3 months instead of the usal Rs. 4,000/ - for 20 days under the current GMCS course.

Frankly speaking i am very uncomfortable paying such an amount an think its waste of time and money ....... even though i am very financially sound yet im definately not ok with such a fee hike and i bet no one would !!!

CA course is by far a relative cheaper course than other professional courses which provides a cusion to a large number of aspirants. This decision will definitely not be able to digest by many.

If anyone could confirm the news, then it will be easier for me and others to decide the further course of action !!

I have come to know of 2 GMCS courses in an articleship period of 15 days each rather 3 months program...since it is confirmed in an earlier interview by our past president.

Currently 3 months program is optional

hi,

i dont know from where u got this news and if this is correct it is indeed sad that we have to pay such a heft fee + 3 month of gmcs.

i don't know why is ithe institute busy on minting money.No one's communication can be imporved in 3 months or 3 weeks.it is a continuous process which should be garnered from the beginning of one's career.

merely by wasting 3 months and paying 45000 is of no use.

well !!!!!!

our past president is now ur president for board of studies !!!! in the past it was optional !!! from what news i ve got from may 10 it will be no longer optional !!!

Enrolling for Orientation and appearing again for the same Communication agendas and ppt presentations....it is simply a waste of time..even though it is a good move, it can wait!!

I hope ICAI makes 3 months program Relevant rather Compulsion after Clearing CA. 3 months is simply waste of my precious time!!!!!...Will ICAI make it count of my articles??...
