wt is tht 2% tds for govt dept ... is tht tax is payable apart frm gst.. is it applicable for the govt dept suppliers

As per sec 51 of CGST govt and local authority should deduct TDS AT 1% UNDER CGST ON PURCHASE OF GOODS OR SERVICES HAVING VALUE OF MOREVTHAN 250000.
SO IT IS DEDUCTIBLE BY GOVT AND THE CREDIT OF TGE SAME WILL BE AVAILABLE TO SUPPLIER

if it is less than 250000 p.a. to single govt/ local authority, than that department will not deduct TDS.
