I really dont think, a paper like the TIMES will publish such think, unless the President has actually said such a thing. Please note the remark made by the President for removing the 15 minutes time. It is really mind boggling.

actually there was not really use of these 15 min ..

bcz they provide just before 5 min.. n we even cant write anything on question paper

so its good tht this idea is removed .

Institute must be given an award as it is unprofessional institute is able to produce professionals....................They are now only thinking about the money and profit nothing else.

The 15 mins provision was an excellent provision since it helps students to actually write the paper for 3 hours rather than wasting some of the 3 hours for reading the question paper.

There is no official announcement from ICAI on this reversal yet. But the President was quoted as saying so in Times of India.

Passing percentage of results is NOT related to ANY factor. It is purely based on how much the ICAI wants to pass out. They could give you half hour reading time and still bring out 3% results. The complete lack of transparency and reliability in the exam process is irrespective of the 15 mins provision.

15 minute provision is not withdrawn!!

Use of the word "not" in the published article was a Clerical mistake committed by Times of India,

One should avoid spreading rumuor regarding withdrawal of the said provision!

Its just that Institute likes to play the mind game.In thinking bout all these students often get tensed n worried, and forget the main goal of studies...! Let the Institute do anything it wants 2 do....!

 If this is not removed , i would be more than happy. Its not about spreading rumours. A news published in the TIMES of INDIA is a conclusive evidence. If information based on this is considered rumour then people have to stop reading newspapers.

I am not telling that Times of India is spreading rumour, I am telling that it had made a clerical mistake in its article by adding a unwanted 'not ' in the paragraph which has lead to miscarrying of information and spread of rumour ,,Every newspaper does such mistakes!

Morever, Ramaswamy has reiterated this decision in the speech published in ICAI May Journal,,
