Go for 6 weeks programme. It is observed that avg pcakage offered to these guys are 2 lacs more than 15 day trainees. Also, placement is 100%.
In earlier times, CAs were considered good for practice not fit for job. Placements were 10-15%.
Reason is simple. CA is not a regular course n often fresh CAs face problem in developing communication skills, which are extremely important to any MNC employer. Now a days, we are pitted against premier business school graduates who have excellent communication skills. In 6 week course, u'll go through extensive communication skills training, improving ur skills as well as confidence n prepare u for ur 1st assignment. Also the certificate will add value to ur resume for next 2-3 years.
The best part is, it is added to ur articleship period
Try for a metro centre like delhi.
Go for 6 weeks, hands down. Fee may be high but will be recovered in 3-4 months' salary.
Best of Luck...

It means that if u attend 6 weeks course, it is taken as part of articleship. So, ur articleship period is reduced by 6 weeks.
There is no such benefit in 15 day GMCS.

Hey Rajiv,
I have undergone 6-Week Residential course at Center of Excellence, Hyderabad and I would like to tell you that dont eevr think that you have an option of 15 days GMCS course because that couse is damm good.
Its a comppete different experience and you learn all those things that you havent ever learn or even you will never learn in your life. I was in the 2nd batch from 01.12.2010 to 11.01.2011. At the batch end, while certificate distribution ceremony, we participants were asked to make recommendations and I what I recommended was that to mandate this course and it was well accepted by the ICAI authorities.
Eventhough costwise, its too cheap, because the amount that ICAI is charging is actually just the halfo of the total expenditure incurred per student. Even in campus placement programme, residential students have preferance over other students.
I adsvise you all to do opt for residential course, if you get opportunity.

Besides this those 6 weeks are considered as a part and parcel of articles training, that means, instead of attending office for 6 weeks, it will be very much valid if you attend residential course.
