Scrutiny u/s 143(3) can be done for returns that are how old? Is there a limit or return kf any year can be picked?

only till one year from the end of relevant a.y.

its within 6 months from the end of f.y. in which return was filed

So that automatically implies that only for last one year's return can be scrutinized.

if you filed return for a.y.2014-15 by july 2015..., then 143 (3) can be issued till September 2016...
