I got notice under section 143(1) even though there is no tax demanded
what would the reason for the same?
Even the income is also accepted as what I filed

It's not a bad notice, it's a good notice.

It's a written acknowledgement/receipt of your tax paid. It seems everyone has got this receipt today.

Well, not a notice..... but intimation that your filed ITR has been accepted by department, without any change!!

For that also they will send intimation because I guess the meaning of it says if there is any mistake apparent from recoed then they will send but there was no demand in that

Isn't it necessary to get a receipt of tax paid? What happens when you pay money to anyone? you take receipt. It's the same thing.

143(1) means "no problem"

143(9) means "problem"

Even I received this today. I was waiting for it since months. Mine says "4 rupees pending" :D

As per rules, if less than 100rs is pending then no need to take any action. Now we can safely pay next year's tax. This year's tax is clear.

It is just an acknowledgement of processing your return.. You have to worry if there is any additional tax demanded
it's just an acknowledgement....
so don't worry...
