Recvd a 143(1) Tax Demand Notice.

I have realised that I made some mistake in filing my ITR.

Can I correct and Re-file the same ?

If there is any Tax Demand in 143(1) intimation then first reply on the Income tax portal (Agree or Disagree to the mismatch on given points). Then Revise your Return.

for which a. y. you have received demand notice? if it's for 17-18 then you can revise your roi after submitting your compliance as said by Mr. nitesh. if it's for a. y. 2016-17, then you can't revise it instead go for rectification

then you can opt for either revising or rectifying your ITR. generally, your purpose will served quickly in filing revised ITR rather than filing rectifiction
