One assessee got Rs40000 as arrears of previous year.
When he calculate 10E based on whole arrears amount he gets no benefit. If calculate 10E based on part of the arrears (Rs35000) he gets a better relief on tax. Can he claim part of arrear amount for relief under 10E
Your query is not clear to me. To claim relief under section 89(1) form 10E along with applicable ITR is to be filed. Calculation of relief is little bit complicated.
