'Proper' Function in Excel

Excel 1430 views 6 replies

Kindly let me know how to use the function proper in the same cell where the user is working.

To illustrate,

In a cell A3, I have the word 'chartered accountants'

By using the proper function, i should get the desired result in the same cell. (ie, proper function to be applied in the same cell-A3 and no cell other than that.)

Pls help me to solve this particular query.

It is not possible.

You have to copy and paste the Proper Letters to the destination cell.

want to modify above little... first put formula in any different cell n then copy it n do paste special n select values only in the cell u want to change..

See solution from below link.

Hi,

You can directly use the function in cell A3. You need to type =Poper("chartered accountants")...

Hope this will suffice your requirement.
