Hi Espionage,

I appeared and failed in L1 (December) last year. I don't want to attribute my failure to any factor that hit me in november but I really feel there was lack of concerntration and time which became nemesis of the attempt.

Now the issue is: I want to appear again (I havn't registered for any examination though) but I am demotivated because of following factors:

1) I am about to complete 3 years in SAP consultancy which is another area which CAs yearn to explore and adopt as a career profile.

2) I am earning enough to not let any financial growth related concern emerge in my mind.

3) I got married 4 months ago and things are getting tough. Not in terms of managing things at both home and work front but in terms of the career related independence ( a) I have been strictly told not to take up any job outside Delhi b) we are planning an addition in the family next year)

Please give me some motivation dose.

Sheli

Hey Espionage,

I intend to appear in CFA L1 this December. One of my friend has appeared in the June 2013 Exam of the same level.

I want to borrow his material for studies preliminary. Whether there are changes in the curriculum between June and December exams of same year?

I am aware that curriculum changes every year. But not sure whether it changes mid year or not.

Thanks,

Rahul Jain.

HI ESPIONAGE,

IM A CA IPCC STUDENT AWAITING MY RESULTS FOR MAY2013 EXAM.

IM NOT DOING ANY BACHELOR DEGREE.

I JUST WANTED TO ASK IS A BACHELOR DEGREE MUST FOR REGISTERING FOR CFA? OR CAN I REGISTER IF I HAVE COMPLETED 4 YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYMENT AFTER FINISHING MY CA?

IF THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE IS A B.COM DEGREE FROM IGNOU RECOGNISED AS A BACHELORES DEGREE FOR DOING CFA?

@ pucca idiot congrats bro.. i also cleared my level 2  :) :)

@ sheli if u think ur too deep into SAP then i think it is better to stay there :)
and the good thing is ur happy with ur remuneration. if i were u i wud work in SAP and forget abt CFA and as ur planning a baby soon.. i wud prefer to love the baby and not slog hours for cfa .. level 2 is extremly difficult. much .. more than level 1..

@ ashwin.. check the thread bro

@ rahul ya man u can borrow the books and study to get a fair idea.. but bear in mind the course changes roughly 10 % each year.

@ abi yes buddy bachelors i must..

@ ashish congo buddy. :)

Congrats Espion thats a good score card, well done bro ..yeah..I ve heard from many reg. CFA L2 being extremely difficult, so i need to be cautious  moreover even my CA Finals attempt are due in November so I wouldnt be having much time for preparing for L2 as I would not register until I get the results. Will have to work out on that...nyways congo once again and All the best for your CA Final. (lets see which rank you get, pass to waise bhi ho hi jaayega :) )
