08 January 2014Was constantly sent demand notices for a sum (FY09-10) that had been paid and correctly showed in 26AS. Filed several letters with the CPC and also, filed a rectification request before the stipulated 3 years were over.
The demand notices stopped.
A strange thing has happened.
Neither the rectification request nor the returns for the last 2 years have been processed. No communication whatsoever has been received at the email ID.
I wonder why ....

Can a practicing CA shed some light on it?

The entire credit goes to INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT. 
This throws light on the efficiency of the work of people in IT Dept.
Hope some other officer solves your problem...
