planning to join a Corporate.
Let us find out what was his strategy & how he has achieved this success:
Thank you very much. You guys are doing an amazing job and are a vital part of our Chartered Accountant fraternity. You are our "go-to" guys.
Can you describe your feelings at this moment?Ecstatic. Words fall short in describing my feelings.I have never before got such love and kind wishes from people from all over India.
What were your first reactions when you heard this news that you are AIR Rank 3 & what was your parents' reaction when they heard the big news?As results were announced earlier than expected, I was thinking 'ki abhi toh time he'.
But when I refreshed and "check results" was flashing in front of me, anxiety overtook
me.
I was literally teary eyed when I saw I got AIR 3. My parents screamed with joy and
started calling each and every relative! (laughs)
No, I was expecting to pass the exams with good marks. Getting a single digit rank was beyond my wildest of dreams. I missed rank by few marks in CPT as well as in IPCC, so getting one in the final examination has really boosted my self-confidence.
Thanks to my Principal and colleagues for giving me insightful practical experiences. Thanks to Professional Academy for paving my path to such a success. Thank you all my wonderful friends who have kept me motivated all along. Saving the best for the last, thank you Mom and Dad and my elder brother Vatsal for being my pillars of strength.
So how did you achieve this, can you share your strategy with us - how did you prepare, what was your time table before and during the exams?I prepared a comprehensive timetable before hitting the study leave. Then I proceeded accordingly, following my time table diligently. I prioritised my subjects which I felt were most difficult, difficult and manageable. I had completed 2 revisions by the time I appeared for the exams.
And what is the most important thing one should keep in mind during the exam? After appearing for every paper, you will feel jitters. But stay calm and remain confident. A humble advice to you is NOT TO discuss the paper after examination. It may have a disturbing impact on your morale.
Any challenges or hurdles you have faced in this whole journey? As you all know, syllabus of final examination is too voluminous. So, if you fail to plan for your exams, you are planning to fail! You may get depressed at times, go for a walk, refresh yourselves and then start again!
How did you balance studies and re-creational activities like sports, travelling, exercise etc in your life and What did you do to keep yourself away from stress (Mental & Physical)?I am an early bird, so I used to study in daytime itself. I used to have 2 sessions, pre and post lunch. At night, I used to watch movies, football, go for a walk!
What are your views on e-learning self study options for CA students as compared to physical coaching classes?I am a little orthodox in this matter and would prefer physical coaching classes. But since technology has advanced, I would like to experience e-learning option too!
Are you a member of CAclubindia.com? Did you get any help from CAclubindia?Yes, I am a member of CAclubindia.com since last couple of years. During Articleship training, I referred your website for any doubts and would instantly get an answer to it from the expert members.
What is your next plan after this? Are you looking forward to some corporate job, practice or higher studies?I would like to take a corporate job. But I am open to explore all possible opportunities.
We hope you have big plans to celebrate! We would request you to give a message to our CAclubindia members and juniors. Partying is still going on!!Believe in yourself . You are capable of doing things you cannot even think about. Never lose hope. As Stephen Hawking says, "Where there is hope, there is life" :)
