How are you feeling right now?
It does feel really great to be AIR 1, especially when people from all over the country convey
their good wishes and regards. The feeling moved on from disbelief to exhilaration to a
motivation that I still have a long way to go.
What was the first thing that you did after seeing your scores?
The Vice-President of ICAI, Mr. Subodh Agarwal was the one to inform me about my result. I
immediately called up my parents as I got to know my scores.
What was your timetable and schedule for studies ?
I was very regular with my studies. Consistency, I believe, is very important to achieve success in
any field. I did my work alongside classes. A month before exams, I tried to study for around 10
productive hours a day.
When was the moment that you decided to pursue this ?
After I joined college in July 2011, I decided to pursue CA further after CPT.
What is the most important thing one should keep in mind while preparing for exams ?
5. The most important thing to be kept in mind is that the focus should always be on keeping
the concepts strong and clear. Regularity is also very important. Moreover, it is also essential
to focus well and not lose confidence right before exams. If you know your subject well and
haven't done selective study, success is sure to come.
Who guided you the most ?
It was teachers who always motivated us to do well and were there to help us throughout. CA
Ashish Kalra's classes have taught me values for life. CA Ajay Jain had been a constant source of
motivation. Apart from this, my friend Payal Jain has been my guide right from the beginning.
