After the birth of a child, from his innocent stage, the world is always trying to teach him. He is a little ignorant child in the eyes of everyone. Therefore, whoever the child comes across, try to teach him whatever the adult knows about life. So for the world, the child is always incomplete. Slowly the kid learns various things from his parents, surroundings, and schools. As he is not worthy, he had to work hard to become somebody and do something great. As the child grew up, he came to experience many things which the world wanted him to. He has now entered the world of a trap where he will be compared, judged, and mistreated for every action.

As days pass, his life every year changes a little bit more with new kinds of worldly emotions, stress, anxiety, and depression. The child who was once the happiest version in his innocent childhood stage is now slowly forgetting the emotion of happiness. Now, he has to work hard to get the same love that he was getting in his childhood. He has entered the world of competition where he has to achieve what the world wants him toFor him, the meaning of happiness now is to achieve what the world wants him to. So for whatever reason, if he is unable to do well on the expectations of the world, then he will not be loved.

The Law of Happiness

Very Sad! Right? Hence, when he is not receiving any love and appreciation, he starts hating himself, feeling worthless, doubting his abilities, moving on a path of isolation, and losing all his spark in his life. The happiest version of himself now turned into the saddest part of his life. He lost all the hope and the fog of confusion in his mind making him believe again and again that he is unworthy and cannot make anyone happy. Surprisingly, the worldly image convinces him that he is not good enough, so he has to go away.

Sadly, if he is convinced that he is not worthy will take the path of killing himself. However, if not convinced then he will start finding the answers. He may even start trying again to achieve everything that he had lost. And he again will make the same mistake of fulfilling worldly expectations to become happy. He again tried very hard just for the appreciation and love for the others. This process will continue until he meets the wise person in his life who made him understand that to become happy, you don’t have to prove your worth. Also, to get the purest form of love, you don’t have to work so hard.

The wise man made him understand that your belief that you were incomplete is a worldly image. You came on this earth already as a complete person, and that’s why you were the happiest version in your childhood stage. It is the world that made you think of unworthiness. And until you would achieve the things that the world wants you to, it will continue to make you feel like this.

To become happy, you have to decide your values. For this, try to think of everything and every decision that you had made to fulfill the worldly expectations and the level of happiness you gained. Then measure the happiness level that you achieved and how long it remained. Gradually you will realize that the happiness you had achieved from the expectations of the world didn’t last long.

This is life!

What life lessons the above story teaches us?

  • You cannot always fulfill all the external expectations because they are not in your control, but you can always control your inner world and its expectations.
  • To become happy, we don’t need anyone’s approval or affection
  • We learned that happiness does not lie in our external environment as it starts from within
  • The path of career and money cannot always bring you long-lasting happiness as money is for comfort and survival but not a substitute for being
  • Also, the greatest blessing that is the biggest reason for happiness is that you are alive today. Think of the situation where there is a possibility that you will not wake up tomorrow, or maybe there will be a world war again, or the world will come to an end overnight. Then what is the relevance of all your desires, stress, competition, comparison, and other personal problems?
  • Once you understand that all that is important is your present. Remembering everything you have right now instead of worrying about what is missing, and feeling gratitude for what you are blessed are all needed for real happiness in life.
  • Accept everything the way it is. You will feel immense freedom and another level of happiness that you cannot even express. When you understand and accept the reality that you cannot control the behavior and outlooks of the world, you even need not fulfill everyone’s expectations. All you need is to introspect and look within what you always wanted. Your happiness should not base on worldly things.
  • Finally, once you know that you are already complete and other things are only for comfort and survival, then all the emotions of stress, anxiety, and depression will disappear from your life. As a result, you will give your best in every situation because you are already happy and no any more need anyone’s appreciation.
  • The purpose of life is to provide service to others. We don’t have to indulge ourselves in the worldly drama of competition and race. We don’t have to become somebody or achieve some title to get love and affection. We can be helpful in many ways as the sky is the limit. When we know who we are, then we can do our best. Once we understand the process of life, we will not be disturbed and find happiness in material things.
