Hai all,

To become successful is everybody's dream. Dreaming wouldn't cost anything and thats why it has been said that  "If dreams were horses, even beggars would ride it."

But doing what ought to be done at the right time is what decides who succeeds and who doesn't.

Here I would like to put forward some tips that can definitely help you attain success.

1. Identify the hidden potential in you

Let me start with a beautiful story.

An eagle's egg was placed in the nest of a  chicken. The egg hatched and the little eagle grew up thinking it was a chicken. The eagle did what the chickens did. It scratched in the dirt for seeds. It clucked and cackled. It never flew more than a few feet because that is what the chickens did.

One day he saw an eagle flying gracefully and majestically in the open sky. He asked the chickens: "What is that beautiful bird?" The chickens replied, "That is an eagle. He is an outstanding bird, but you cannot fly like him because you are just a chicken." So the eagle never gave it a second thought, believing that to be the truth. He lived the life of  a chicken and died a chicken, depriving himself of his heritage because of his lack of vision.

Many of us are in the position of the little eagle. We all have great potentials inside us. But we fail to recognise them. We are all born to succeed but we condition ourselves to lose.

2. Make best use of Opportunities

The world we live in is full of oppportunities. Opportunities come and go. We need to grab them as they pass by us and make the best use of them.

As Joseph Sugarman rightly said "The greatest success stories were created by people who recognized a problem and turned it into an opportunity."

3. Have faith in yourself

Before we attempt anything we need to believe in ourselves.Nobody is incapable of achieving what he wishes to achieve.

The adage goes like this " You can, if you think you can. If you think you can't, you are right."

Self belief is what fuels and drives a person. He can work wonders with this powerful tool. So always try to be positive and believe you can.

4. Never lose hope when you face defeat

I would like to share someone's life history with you.

This was a man who failed in business at the age of 21 ;

Was defeated in a legislative race at age 22;

Failed again in business at age 24;

Overcame the death of his sweetheart at age 26;

Had a nervous breakdown at age 27;

Lost a congressional race at age 34;

lost a senatorial race at age 45;

Failed in an effort to become vice-president at age 47;

Lost a senatorial race at age 49;

And was finally elected president of the United States at age 52.

This man was Abraham Lincoln. Would you call him a failure? He could have quit. But to Lincoln, defeat was a detour and not a dead end.

5. Prayer

Prayer is a very important ingredient of success. Without God's grace, I believe its not possible to taste success in our lives. Apart from all the efforts we put in day in and day out, we must be thankful to God for showering his blessings on us.

Wishing you all success and prosperity in your lives.
