When registering for GST, taxpayers have to fill in details about the state or jurisdiction where their business operates. GST Rules specifies details about how to pay your GST and Interest on delay. A lot of businesses pay their GST on time, but there are penalties if you fail to pay. The penalty for late payment is 18% of the Net amount of GST payable, multiplied by the due date. It is also possible for a third party to pay on your behalf. However, the rules may vary for certain listed financial institutions.
