3 golden strategies to clear CA exams

We find ourselves in a situation where how much we try, we don't get the result we desire. This happens because we put the same efforts every time. If we alter the efforts or change the pattern of studies we might get better results.

When I appeared for my CPT, I couldn't clear it in that attempt (Failed by 4 marks). I reappeared for CPT and got exactly 100 marks (minimum marks required to clear). If I would have got a mark less than 100 I would have failed again.

This made me realize that I had put the same effort as the previous attempt but expected a better result which is impractical.

3 golden strategies to clear CA exams

Learning from my previous mistakes I worked on a better strategy to crack the examination, here are the 3 golden strategies

1. Study Material

We are too fascinated to take coaching from renowned coaching institutes. We ignore our Bible "ICAI STUDY MATERIAL" and this is a common mistake by many of us. Ignoring the Study Material has made students lose attempts.

2. RTP, MTP

Most of the students don't write mock tests. They often don't recall what they have studied while writing exams as they never put themselves in an exam environment before facing the heat of the real examination. When we write a mock exam we gain confidence to know what we are lacking and what needs to be revised, what needs more attention.

Make sure you solve at least 2 RTPs since many questions have been asked from RTPs.This boosts one's confidence while writing a real exam knowing that the same or similar question was solved during the study. This also helps you practice writing in stipulated time and attempting the full 100 marks paper.

3. Consistency

Most people follow others blindly. We all are different. Someone is a night person, someone is a morning person and some others prefer to study midday. But we don't analyze whether we are able to study and concentrate during the day, early morning or late night. We unnecessarily pressure ourselves. And lastly, consistency is the key. Just studying hours without effective study is a waste of time. Effective study is more important than studying hours without concentration.

So, Analyzing your mistakes and learning from the past is vital to get that precious four letters "PASS".
