Dear Sir, I am an NRI living in saudi arabia having certain Fd in my NRO account (SBI)on which TDS is being deducted every year @ 30.9%. Intreast earned on FD are less than 1.6 Lakh,i want to ask that is it possible for me to produce 15 G form so that i can save deduction of TDS. Dear Sir, My query is on partnership firm converted into a private ltd company. The firm was taken over lock , stock and barrel.. thereby not attracting capital gains. The partner in the firm are me and my father... we have been issued shares to the worth of the capital assets. Now my question is, can my dad gift me his shares and not attract any capital gains. As the rule says that the shares should not vary for the next 5 years. Kindly comment. regards Praveen

Dear Experts, If an individual buys Vacant Land and after holding it for less than 3 years or more than 3 years (1) Again sells it as Vacant Land (2) Builds a building and rents it out. (3) Builds building and then sells it. Please Provide me in all the above 3 cases under which head of income i have to classify. Please provide me with the relevant sections or case laws or notifications (recent) so that i can fully satisfy my senior regarding this. Your help will be of great value for me.
