It is pathetic on us to see the socalled “RESOLVED QUERIES” in (1) Expert Section (2) Forum Section and (3) Blog Section. There are queries just attempted with no substance, are categorized immediately as ‘RESOLVED”., which leads our community to wrong direction. The (1) Core team and (2) Loyal members of “CA CLUB INDIA”, need to give their precious time and analyze the “RESOLVED QUERIES”, and see that the members of CA CLUB INDIA are on right path. Else with wrong/misleading RESOLVED QUIERIES / ANSWERS, many may be at ECONOMIC LOSSES, in turn may see this CA CLUB INDIA at an awkward situation. Hello Sir, We have found one answer to the question relating to stamp duty on issue of shares at premium. The relevant extract is as follows: Since at the time of formation you would have paid the stamp duty on 500000 nominal capital. Now you are issuing at Rs.15 preium. Only on the additional amount of Rs.15*5000 ie for Rs.75000 you have to pay the additional stamp duty. After paying the same you can issue shares. Our question is whether stamp duty is applicable at the first time when company is issuing shares at par may be at different times eg. Authorized capital 2 crore shares issued at the time of incorpotaion - Rs. 500000 at par After 2 months - Rs. 1000000 At par. Please clarify us.
