: service tax on freight
thanks for yr reply. pl note ocean frt is on teu basis. in this case, forwarder is getting quote from the shipping line, adding his profit margin and selling the same to the customer. in this case he is not rendering any service. he is just buing and selling ocean freight. so is his profit liable to service tax??
