I am a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant and a Company Secretary. 

I am attached to Amalgamations group of Chennai. I am also on the Board of some of their group companies, besides being a CFO & CS of Simpson and Company Ltd..

    Dear Ms.Nayana, The refunds are given on copletion of assessment and if the taxes paid (Adv.tax, TDS and Self assessment) are more than the assessed tax and interest if any thereon.

    thanks for ur replu on "repayment of debentures" case but sir i dont agree with ur views regarding waiver of loan to treat as capital reciept 1.if i agree that it need not to b adjusted against fixed assets then atleast it will b treated as b.income n will b taxed as pgbp income assuming capital reciepts means exempted from tax
