If my counsel filed income tax return for A.Y 2008-09 and 2009-10 creating refund of Rs. 12,450 and Rs. 7,430. But due to oversight mistake by staff of counsel PAN NO. mentioned on return incorrect. But Tax deducted by the deductor mentioned PAN NO. correctly on Form no. 16A and deposit tax within prescribed time limit. Kindly advise and reply whether in such circumstances i am eligible to get refund or not.On the contrary no opportunity has been given by ITO to rectify PAN NO. on Return and rejected refund claim.
