Dear Madam, I have submitted my clients Revised Return of Income for the A.Y. 2008-09 on dt. 5/5/2008 claiming refund of Rs. 85000 on account of relief u/s. 89(1) & deduction u/s. 10(10C) as my client has taken voluntary retirement from SBI. Request letter for issue of refund filed from time to time. The ITO has not processed the return u/s 143(1) till date. Now as on today he issue notice u/s. 148. The time limit of processing the return expired on 31.3.2010. What is the recourse available with me. Plz guide. Shall I challange the notice u/s. 148 as the return is not processed u/s. 143(1)? Wt should be done?

chapter-insurance claim in given problem total closing stock is rs.170000. and opening stock included 40000 abnormal item.it EXPECTED abnormal item to be sold at rs 16000. in what should value taken to valuation of normal item/stock. a) rs 130000 b) rs 154000

I joined central government job in September 2007 (Group ‘B’). I availed Home Town LTC in December 2008. I could not availed LTC in 2009. Can I avail LTC for Year 2009 and year 2010 both in 2010. Please guide. If any grace period is available please tell where such a detail is given to show my officers.
