    sorry for troubling you again the accountant at my institute says that -as NPA is part of your basic salary so it will be taken into account when calculating the HRA exemption . you see the actual rent paid- 10 % of DA+BASIC +NPA is what they r following at my institute is it justifiable. this reduces my HRA exemption by few thousands more

    IF YOU GO THROUGH MY MESSAGE I AM PARTICULARLY INTERESTED IN THE CASE SECNARIO WHEN MY LANDLORD COMPLETELY DENIES ME TO PROVIDE HIS PAN CARD NUMBER TO ME IN THAT CASE CAN I CLAIM AT LEAST 99600 AMOUNT AS RENT PAID BY GIVING 8300/PM RENT SLIPS? IF YES THEN BY THIS FORMULA MY HRA EXEMPTION WILL TURN OUT TO BE NEGATIVE SO WHAT WILL BE THE ACTUAL AMOUNT ON WHICH I WILL GET TAXED. I HAVE ACTUALLY PAID 276000 AS RENT THIS YEAR
