  • shyam says : querry relating to central excise
One of my client is Granite manufactures and same will be exported. They purchase rough blocks(Rough rocks/ stones) and do further process like cutting into required sizes and polishing and finishing process. For cutting and polishing they use material called blades and segments hence they manufacturers they do have Central Excise registration number and they pay Excise duty on the blades and segments which they purchased. The blades and segment can not be used more than 3months,(it will become a scrap or useless). My query is, hence the blades and segments can not be used more than 3months the excise duty which they have paid can be claimed as input credit under revenue item(100% of duty amount paid) OR It shall be used under capital goods(50% of duty paid amount will be used in current year and remaing 50% will be used in next year). Please send the reply with in 2hours because it shall be explained before the Central Excise Superintendent. Please help me out to resolve the case. Please respond me. Sir, I'm an MPC student and my 12th class exams will be over by the end of March. I've always had a passion for CA. . I've got some doubts which were never cleared. Should I go for CA directly or should I even do B.Com (honours)? Which institute should I prefer for CPT coaching keeping in mind that I've an MPC background.
