I have a query regarding Service Tax. My company will fall under Maintenance and repairs and i am paying Telephone charges. My question is whether i will get full credit on the input service tax paid on telephone charges.

why not; provided input service must be utilized for taxable output service.

Credit can be taken if you are not availing abatement under Notfn.No.1/2006 for payment of ST under Maintenance & Repair service.
If you are providing taxable and exempted services then the credit can be utilised only to the extend of 20% of ST payable. W.E.F 1.4.2007 this rule has been changed.
